President Donald Trump on Saturday retrieved a cap of a Marine officer after it blew off because of the president’s helicopter, the Gateway Pundit reports.
As the president approached Marine One, he picked up a white cap from the ground then placed it on the Marine’s head then patted the officer’s arm.
But the cap was blown off once more, which prompted Trump and his military escort to chase after it.
The president was at Andrews Air Force Base outside the nation’s capital after he returned from the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany. He flew the presidential helicopter to return to the White House.
Trump’s action was praised by CNN, despite recent clashes between the president and the news organization.
The CNN anchor said: “You got to come watch this. This was actually a light moment… He’s trying to right the ship here and help out the Marine who is standing alongside it and can’t move from his position.”
