A 6-year-old boy was involved in a robbery last month in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Police say that the boy showed a silver handgun and demanded money from his victim at about 8 p.m.
The robbery was just one of the many similar incidents in the city’s Douglas neighborhood, which typically involved offenders approaching victims on a parking lot, residential hallway or sidewalk.
Majority of the robberies occur in broad daylight between 26th and 29th streets on south MLK Blvd., Indiana and Michigan.
Authorities continue to investigate these incidents and nobody has been arrested so far.
Devi Gandhi, a 10-year resident of the neighborhood, says the crime keeps getting worse. “It’s just very sad and you feel like no matter what you do you’re not going to feel safe,” Gandhi told WGN News.
