Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager of President Donald Trump, said on Wednesday that those responsible for leaking information about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer during the presidential campaign will be fired, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Lewandowski told the hosts of “Fox & Friends” that he doesn’t have information of who the leaker is but said that if it were up to him, “I would fire them on the spot, and Donald Trump will do the same.”
The New York Times recently reported that Trump’s eldest son, son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort meet with a Russian lawyer who offered incriminating information about Hillary Clinton.
On Tuesday, Trump Jr. was forced to publish the email conversation he had with music publicist Rob Goldstone, the person who set up the meeting, where he said “if it’s what you say I love it” when he was told about the nature of the information.
Trump Jr. said no such information was actually provided to him.
But he admitted during an interview on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Tuesday that he would have done things a little differently.
