President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Steve Bannon once called House Speaker Paul Ryan “limp-d*** motherf*****” according to a new book.
In the latest book written by Joshua Green titled “Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency,” it chronicles how Trump and Bannon joined forces that led to the rise of the alt-right.
The former Breitbart News executive made the expletive-laden comments about Ryan during the GOP presidential primaries last year when some Republicans floated the idea of him being a possible alternative to Trump.
Bannon described the Wisconsin congressman as a “limp-d*** motherf***** who was born in a petri dish at the Heritage Foundation.”
The book said Bannon went on “panic” mode after he heard the rumors and started “plotting an all-out war to stop Ryan.”
Ryan had previously declared he would not seek the presidency, saying “I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination for our party.”
The Daily Caller reports:
Breitbart News Chairman Steve Bannon wasn’t yet working for Trump as his chief strategist. But Matthew Boyle and other Breitbart reporters there were busy writing scathing stories about Ryan under Bannon’s direction. But he really didn’t have to push too hard. In May, ex-Breitbart reporter Lee Stranahan told Vanity Fair that Boyle had “fetish-ized going after Paul Ryan. I don’t know how else to put it, it’s just complete obsession.”
