New White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci lauded right-wing website Breitbart News in his first interview since joining the Trump administration, the Gateway Pundit reports.
The interview began with Scaramucci asking Breitbart radio host and political editor Matthew Boyle to work for him at the West Wing.
Boyle’s employer, Breitbart, is one of the biggest supporters of Trump and a number of its former staff is now serving in the administration.
“I think that one of the things that Breitbart has done has captured the spirit of what is actually going on in this country,” Scaramucci told Boyle in an interview that aired on SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125.
Scaramucci said his job is to get Trump’s unfiltered tweets to his supporters and bypass mainstream media outlets that Trump call as “fake news.” He also hopes to de-escalate the media’s unfairness and bias toward the president.
As Scaramucci, a Wall Street financier, was named the new communications director earlier this week, Sean Spicer stepped down as White House press secretary.
