Musician Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is doing well in the polls for Michigan’s Senate race, making him the frontrunner in the Republican primary and ahead of the Democratic candidate in the general election, 100% Fed Up reports.
Delphi Analytical’s poll released Friday shows Ritchie surging ahead of incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
In the potential general election matchup between Ritchie and Stabenow, the rocker holds a four-point advantage after he garnered 30 percent compared to Stabenow’s 26 percent.
The poll asked 668 respondents, in which nearly half of them still remain undecided.
Ritchie launched a “Kid Rock For Senate” website two weeks ago, teasing the public about his possible plan to challenge for Stabenow’s U.S. Senate seat.
“We will be scheduling a press conference in the next 6 weeks or so to address this issue amongst others, and if I decide to throw my hat in the ring for US Senate, believe me… it’s game on mthrfkers,” Richie said in the statement.
