After demanding the removal of Confederate statues, the activist Left’s next target is to take down the monument of former President Theodore Roosevelt, one of the faces featured on Mount Rushmore.
Over 200 protesters gathered inside New York’s American Museum of Natural History to demand the removal of what they believe as a “racist” statue of the iconic leader.
The demonstration, organized by NYC Stands with Standing Rock and Decolonize This Place, also wants Columbus Day to be renamed as Indigenous People’s Day.
Columbus Day commemorates the arrival of Italian explorer Christopher Columbus to the Americas on Oct. 12, 1492.
His arrival also led to the settlement of Europeans to the Americas, which had a devastating effect on Native Americans.
The protesters marched around the museum and carried signs that read “Black Lives Matter,” “Abolish White Supremacy” and “Decolonize This Museum.”
The Gateway Pundit reports:
First they came for Democrat Andrew Jackson statues.
Then they came for Confederate statues.
Last night they tore down a monument to Confederate veterans.
