A Florida man thought he was experiencing an earthquake and got quite a surprise when he found an 8-foot alligator inside a sewer.
The alligator had taken refuge in a storm drain under Louis Camacho’s front garden.
The Apopka, Florida resident only noticed the reptile when he went outside his house to get his mail from the mail box.
“I felt it again and heard some sounds, so I went ahead and looked into the sewer, and low-and-behold, I see an alligator,” said Camacho.
Other than the alligator, Camacho also said that he spotted a big bear on the other side of his fence.
While both creatures are very frightening, Camacho admits he was more startled with the alligator.
“He seemed more excitable than the bear,” he said.
Conservative Tribune reports:
That alligator hasn’t bothered him at his house because the man doesn’t seem to have anything the gator wants. The thing’s an apex predator. It doesn’t hold value to your life — it’s not evil, it just doesn’t think that way.
It’s great that, so far, Camacho has not been bothered by the animals around his home. There’s no certainty that they will not trouble him in the future, either. If they need something he has, they’ll try to get it. I sincerely hope that Camacho is ready for whatever may come his way in his animal-filled area.
