A feminist group is leading a campaign to banish Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte as it makes an incredible claim that the fall flavor is helping fund white supremacy and racism in the Trump administration, Young Conservatives reports.
UltraViolet, a group that describes itself as “a powerful and rapidly growing community of people mobilized to fight sexism and create a more inclusive world that accurately represents all women,” is urging people to take action against the Seattle-based company.
A Twitter post from the group tells readers: “That favorite fall drink of yours is funding rent payments to white supremacy.”
According to UltraViolet’s website, 70,000 people have expressed their disapproval to Starbucks’ alleged support for “white supremacy.”
The petition may have sounded a little off given that Starbucks has a reputation of being a progressive company as it supports gay rights and immigrants.
But what UltraViolet appears to be concerned about really is the claim that Starbucks operates a location at Trump Tower in Manhattan.
