Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the speech delivered by President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly Tuesday, describing it the most courageous speech he had ever heard in his 30-year experience at the world body, Gateway Pundit reports.
Following Trump’s speech, the Israeli leader tweeted, “In over 30 years in my experience with the UN, I never heard a bolder or more courageous speech.”
“President Trump spoke the truth about the great dangers facing our world, and issued a powerful call to confront them in order to ensure the future of humanity,” he added.
Trump’s speech was headlined by a hardline position on North Korea and Iran. He threatened to “totally destroy North Korea” and to cancel the Obama-era nuclear deal with Iran.
Netanyahu, along with his wife Sarah, was in attendance during the president’s speech and applauded enthusiastically.
He was scheduled to address the General Assembly later that day where he delivered a strong rebuke of Israel’s arch nemesis Iran.
