Police arrested a 15-year-old boy following a scary “acid attack” in London’s busy shopping mall on Saturday that left six people injured, Sputnik reports.
Authorities responded to Stratford Centre in east of London at around 8 p.m. after a noxious substance was sprayed into he crowd during an altercation” between two gangs.
This created panic inside the mall where victims hurried to wash the substance off their eyes and face with water.
Video footage of the horrific attack showed police officers and paramedics gathered around a victim, and signs were set up to keep bystanders out.
Police have ruled out terrorism and witnesses say the substance was thrown by “young black teenage males.”
Scotland Yard announced that all the victims were male and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. None of the victims suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries, according to BBC.
