House Intelligence Committee member Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee, backed off of his Trump-Russia claims on Sunday.
After saying for weeks that there was ample evidence that President Trump and his campaign were tied to the Russians, he suddenly changed his mind when speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Schiff said that he cannot “say whether anything was masked or unmasked properly” after visiting the White House to see the same documents that Rep. Devin Nunes saw last month.
“I don’t think we can say anything definitively at this point,” he said, adding that he wouldn’t confirm there was “collusion.”
Where is the credibility? If you are going to take a stand and say that Trump is tied to Russia, you better stick to your word even when the ship is going down. The amount of flip-flopping the Democrats do is puzzling.
