Tensions are escalating between North Korea and the United States.
President Donald Trump recently ordered a missile strike in Syria and has now ordered select ships from the U.S. Navy to travel to the Korean Peninsula.
Trump has long called out North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un for oppressing his people and for constantly threatening the Western world with his twisted ideology.
A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula as a show of force, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea’s advancing weapons program.
Earlier this month North Korea tested a liquid-fueled Scud missile which only traveled a fraction of its range.
The strike group, called Carl Vinson, includes an aircraft carrier and will make its way from Singapore toward the Korean peninsula, according to the official, who was not authorized to speak to the media and requested anonymity.
“We feel the increased presence is necessary,” the official said, citing North Korea’s worrisome behavior.
Do not be scared by this news. The North Koreans need to learn their place in the world and the only way that the United States can accomplish that is by showing them what real power looks like.
Trump’s meeting with Chinese President Jinping Xi must have went well if Trump has decided to send the U.S. Navy to the Korean Peninsula.
