Former President Barack Obama had no idea how to run the United States. For years, our trade policies suffered and he frequently demonstrated that he had no idea what he was doing.
Enter President Donald Trump and all of Obama’s damage is slowly being undone.
During last week’s summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump managed to score several major trade victories for the United States.
One of the concessions included China agreeing to drop the ban on American beef, a ban that has been in place since 2003. The other concession revolved around letting U.S. citizens own majority stakes in Chinese investments and securities companies.
These major concessions are only the start in what will be a very successful presidency for Trump. Unlike Obama, Trump understands the importance of trade and has made it a focal part of his presidency.
By showing China who’s boss, the U.S. will slowly start to reassert itself as the dominate trading power in the world.
