It’s not often that the leader of the United States is praised in a Middle Eastern country.
According to reports, Syrians have started calling President Donald Trump “Abu Ivanka al-Amriki,” which translates to “Father of Ivanka the American,” and is meant as a term of endearment and respect.
PJ Media reported that various Arab social media networks were flooded with pro-Trump photos depicting the president with a full beard and wearing a fez. In some situations, they even called on Trump to do more in Syria.

“Maybe you in the West hate Trump, but he has already done far more for us than Obama,” declared Najim Hassan, a Syrian who lives in the recently attacked rebel-held city of Idlib. “We love him because he does more than he says, he’s a man of action and at least he gives us something to hope for.”
Kassem Eid, a Syrian national, appeared on various American news networks, where he too praised Trump.
“When I saw President Trump and the United States taking action for the first time after six years of calling for help, we felt happy and grateful,” Eid continued. “If President Obama took action against the Assad regime, he would have stopped ISIS from being created. He would have given people in Syria hope.”
It took a lot of courage for Trump to initiate a missile strike, so it is nice to see that he is earning praise from the country he is working hard to save from the clutches of a brutal dictator.
