Easter is a time for family gatherings and delicious chocolate. Most families follow the tradition of hiding chocolate Easter eggs around the house for their children to recall.
However, if you purchased a specific type of Easter egg from Target, you may want to check that it hasn’t been recalled.
Target announced a product recall on April 13, which applies to Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys, and Hatch Your Own Dino.
“If the small toy is ingested, it can expand inside a child’s body and cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and could be life-threatening. Surgery is required to remove the toy from the body if ingested. Medical professionals and parents should be aware that there is a possibility that the toys might not show up on an x-ray.”
If you purchased one of these toy eggs, contact Target immediately as your child may be at risk if they ingest it. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
