Chicago loves to praise its anti-gun laws, but for a city with such strict gun laws, they sure have a lot of gun violence.
This further proves the narrative that gun laws are useless and that individuals need to be able to protect themselves from people that have no interest in respecting the law.
According to reports, nearly 40 people were shot in Chicago over Easter, including 28 within an 18-hour period. Of those shooting, only one of them died on Tuesday morning.
Conservative Tribune reports:
The lone death during the weekend of carnage was a 23-year-old who was shot, along with two others, at a house party where police believed a heated argument led to as many as 20 gunshots being exchanged.
The fatality, identified as Tywan Anderson, was shot in the head and back on Chicago’s Southwest side near Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Liberals will tell you that gun laws solve gun crime, but they are wrong. So far in 2017, 900 people have been shot in Chicago, a city with some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
Why do we keep wasting money on gun laws? If you want to crack down on gun ownership, legislate stricter background checks, don’t ban innocent Americans from their right to use the Second Amendment.
