Hillary Clinton never expected to lose the 2016 election. She went to the polls feeling as smug as ever, expecting to dupe the American people and score an election victory.
Too bad for Clinton, she was facing Donald Trump, and the American people were not willing to suffer through another Clinton presidency.
A new poll conducted by The Washington Post/ABC News has revealed that Clinton would not win an election against Trump if it were to take place today.
43 percent of voters said Trump would still win, while 40 percent believed Clinton would.
96 percent of voters who claimed they voted for Trump said they would still vote for him.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Author Amie Parnes said in an interview on Fox News that the poll indicated that many Clinton voters were not moved by Clinton, who did not connect with them the way Trump did with his supporters or even the way Sen. Bernie Sanders connected with his supporters.
She added that many Clinton voters would rather have seen Sanders win the nomination and were voting for Clinton only because she ended up on the party ticket.
Liberals, and Clinton especially, are going to hate hearing this because it goes against everything they have been trying to convince everyone of since before the election — that Trump never had enough support to win an election, and he won only because of Russian interference with the election.
Liberals won’t like the results of this poll, but the facts don’t lie. If liberals were interested in winning the 2016 election, they should have picked a better candidate.
