While most of the country focuses on President Donald Trump and his first 100 days in office, Melania Trump has quietly been going about her business as the First Lady, meeting and reading to sick children and doing other charitable acts.
Unlike former First Lady Michelle Obama, who told us about everything she did every time she went out, Melania is much more reserved and doesn’t feel the need to be in the spotlight every time she does something.
The liberal media doesn’t even report on anything that Melania does. Instead, they attack her over mundane things like what dress she wore to an event.
Earlier in the week, Melania dedicated a healing garden at the top of the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington to sick children.
“This garden will be a quiet space for children to benefit from nature’s most important elements: fresh air and beautiful views, to relax and enjoy in peace,” Trump said on Friday when she dedicated the garden. “It has always been my belief that a nurturing and positive environment is vital to the health and well-being of all children.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
The Washington Post noted that the garden is dedicated to all first ladies. In 2014, all three living first ladies agreed to be “honorary chairs” for the project, which was slated to cost roughly $7 million.
Trump has visited several children’s hospitals and other caregiving facilities during her time as first lady — almost none of which have been widely covered by the media.
The USA Today noted that many of these visits have been unannounced, which is sticking to the low-key lifestyle that Trump has led since becoming First Lady.
