Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday issued an ultimatum to drug dealers and murders throughout the country.
In an exclusive interview with “The Daily Caller,” Sessions made it clear that he stood firmly behind American law enforcement agencies and that he would support them however he could.
He sympathized with police officers, saying that they put their lives on the line to defend their communities.
“It’s dangerous,” Sessions said of law enforcement work. “It’s tough. Our good officers need support,” Sessions said.
Sessions also singled out the dangerous MS-13 gang, which the government has identified as one of the most dangerous and rapidly expanding gangs in the United States.
According to reports, the gang has 30,000 members, with at least 8,000 of them residing within the United States.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Sessions told Fox News earlier this month that the gang, with its history of human smuggling, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, murder and kidnapping, could qualify as a terror group.
He then issued a warning: “If they commit crimes or violate people’s civil rights, this Department of Justice will come after them and anyone else that does.”
Sessions added that everyone must get “get away from the idea of blaming the police.”
“We need to be placing the blame on the murderers, thugs, the drug dealers and the gang guys who are killing people and robbing people and promoting prostitution of young girls and killing kids in school even,” he said.
Finally, we have a government in place that is determined to take down gangs within the U.S.
Former President Barack Obama didn’t care about gang violence and he often considered these violent thugs to be “dreamers.”
Now, Trump and Sessions remain committed to dismantling gangs and making our country a safer place to live.
