A Jimmy John’s employee recently showed what bravery really looks like.
In a shocking video, a black man approaches the employee, pretends to place an order, and proceeds to pull out a gun and demand all the money in the register.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, the incident took place on Thursday and the robber was eventually caught later in the day.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Sharp-eyed viewers of the surveillance video were quick to point out one possible reason for the calm reaction: The armed suspect apparently had no idea how to handle his weapon.
The criminal’s gun was not chambered before the robbery began, and the man was forced to load a round while standing at the counter. In the process, the thug made a rookie mistake, and “rode” the handgun slide forward, jamming a cartridge in the slide.
The criminal was able to leave with cash from the register, but his success was short lived. KCPD announced a short time after the video was released that the man had been located and arrested. Shocking as it might be, he told authorities he needed money to pay his drug dealer.
Tucker Murray, the employee who acted so calmly during the robbery, spoke with the media after the incident, explaining how he managed to stay so calm.
Murray, you are one brave man. Luckily no one was hurt and the robber was arrested and will now call a prison cell home.
Do you think Murray is brave, or a little bit crazy?
