President Donald Trump held a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday night, where he talked about major issues with tens of thousands of his supporters.
In doing so, Trump skipped out on the annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
As Trump spoke to his supporters, he slammed the liberal media for pedaling lies about him and his administration.
“A large group of Hollywood actors and Washington media are consoling each other in a hotel ballroom in our nation’s capital right now,” he said. “They are gathered together for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner without the president.”
He continued: “And I could not possibly be more thrilled than to be 100 miles away from Washington’s swamp, spending my evening with all of you and with a much, much larger crowd and much better people.”
He reminded his supporters that CNN and MSNBC are nothing but “fake news” and he called the Washington media elite “a disgrace.”
Trump masterfully summed it all up in one sentence, “The Washington media is part of the problem.”
