President Donald Trump is committed to protecting American interests at home and internationally.
During a recent interview on Saturday, Trump suggested that he was looking to sign an executive order that will allow the United States to leave NAFTA.
It appears as if Trump will be putting his negotiating skills to use, forcing Canada and Mexico to pay up or lose out on the benefits of NAFTA.
”If I’m not able to renegotiate NAFTA, I will terminate NAFTA,” he said.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Trump signed an executive order Saturday for a study to determine whether the U.S. was being treated fairly by its trading partners and the 164-nation World Trade Organization, Newsmax reported. Moreover, Politico reported last Wednesday that unidentified White House officials said the president was preparing an executive order that could pull the U.S. out of the trade deal.
It appears there are only two choices: renegotiate or terminate.
What do you think about Trump’s stance on NAFTA? Should the United States pull out once and for all?
