The Pentagon recently revealed that they believe that the Iran and North Korea are actively working together against the United States.
There is no doubt that the U.S. actively works to maintain order in the world, but in doing so, they often develop enemies with belligerent countries that have no interest in peace.
According to Newsmax, the connection hasn’t officially been confirmed, but the Pentagon is keeping a close eye on both countries.
Conservative Tribune reports:
This especially after Iran’s May 2 attempted missile launch from a small “midget” submarine which is believed to be operated only by North Korea and copied by Iran.
Those submarines are known to be able to travel in shallow water while remaining almost silent.
Of course, with those two countries working together, the U.S. government is on edge, wondering if the two countries are planning some sort of major attack.
According to Fox News, the partnership between the anti-American nations is not new or surprising.
Jeffrey Lewis, a missile proliferation expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, in Monterey, California, suggested that the partnership had existed for years.
“The very first missiles we saw in Iran were simply copies of North Korean missiles,” he said. “Over the years, we’ve seen photographs of North Korean and Iranian officials in each other’s countries, and we’ve seen all kinds of common hardware.”
Other reports have suggested that the two countries are looking to develop EMP weapons to use against the U.S.
U.S. Director of Strategic Defense Initiative Henry Cooper said that an EMP strike would be one of the most effective ways to damage the U.S.
“Both nations could deliver an EMP attack on the United States by simply detonating a nuclear weapon carried by one of their satellites as it passes over the United States,” he said.
“I believe we have had a clear warning of the nature of this threat for years, and are collectively continuing to ignore and take ineffective countermeasures to deal with it. We are essentially defenseless against this plausible threat,” Cooper warned.
Hopefully President Donald Trump will keep a watchful eye on this. Our government needs to start funding a defense system that is capable of withstanding an EMP strike.
