There is nothing more scary than the thought of your loved ones getting kidnapped by a group of thugs.
This is exactly what happened to one Texas family this month. Around 4 am, four armed men burst into a family’s home and tied everyone up.
“I didn’t know what was happening until I saw a man holding a gun to my mom’s head,” 19-year-old Ruben Garcia told KPRC. Garcia was sleeping in his room when screaming and shouting woke him up.
Garcia and his twin brother, Rene, said they tried to lock themselves in a room, but were eventually found.
“They had my little sister at gunpoint, so we couldn’t do anything,” Rene Garcia explained.

“They were telling us, ‘Where do you guys have money?’ ‘We know you guys have money.’ And stuff like that,” Rene Garcia said. Several of the family members were pistol-whipped so violently that their heads required stitches.
Conservative Tribune reports:
According to KVUE, Ruben and Rene Garcia’s uncle, who lives next door, heard the commotion. He took a gun to investigate, and found a suspect beating one of the family members in the yard.
That’s when the uncle fired. The criminal was wounded, but the three others were still nearby.
A second thug pointed a pistol at the neighbor, forcing the citizen to fire again. The home invader didn’t survive.
“If he didn’t save us, I think most likely one of us, we wouldn’t be here today,” Rene Garcia told KPRC.
Police stated that two of the four thugs managed to escape. The family reported that the criminals spoke English and Spanish with a Central American accent.
The uncle’s actions were referred to a grand jury, but no charges have been filed as of yet.
Credit to that uncle for showing such bravery during such a traumatic incident.
