A Tennessee mother did everything she could to protect her son from a dangerous thug who broke into her house recently.
Elsie Lee woke up to a loud bang coming from the front of her house. As the bangs continued, she thought to herself, “Protect my son.”
“We were asleep, and I thought I had heard something but I wasn’t for sure,” Lee recalled. “I thought I was just dreaming something, and then I heard a big bang again.”
“I got up and came running through the hallway and my gun was sitting on the dog cage, and the guy was standing in the kitchen,” she said. “He had just busted my door open.”
Seconds later, she stormed out into the kitchen, gun drawn, and shoved it into the thugs face.
“I put the gun in his face and asked him if there was something I could do for him, and he was gone just that quick,” Lee said. “I chased him out the back door trying to look at the tag number on the car, something I could describe other than just him.”
“I almost killed him,” Lee said of the encounter. “One of them could have been dead. Had he not ran, he would have been dead.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
Madison County Sheriff’s deputies quickly arrived and apprehended five suspected burglars within an hour, placing four adults and one juvenile in custody pending charges of aggravated burglary.
The adult suspects were identified as 20-year-old Quentin Childress, 18-year-old Jaylon Chiles, 21-year-old Amar Johnson and 19-year-old Kendrick McMullin. The juvenile has not been identified.
“I say they were ‘Johnny on the spot,’” Lee said of the rapid police response. “They were here within three minutes. I congratulate our sheriff’s department for what they did, and it couldn’t have been done any faster or better.”
