A vicious brawl recently broke out at a graduation ceremony at Arlington High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
While students just wanted to enjoy their graduation, two parents took it upon themselves to steal the spotlight.
In the video, two women started pulling each others hair after it was reported that one woman tried to kick another woman out of a seat.
Conservative Tribune reports:
The video below starts out looking like a perfectly normal graduation ceremony — the students were filing into the arena in which they were to graduate, smiling, waving and occasionally giving each other high fives. Pretty much what you’d expect.
The fight sees parents wailing on each other for no immediately discernible reason — but USA Today claimed that initial reports seemed to indicate that the fight originated over people laying claim to seats.
According to Tammy Mason, superintendent of the Arlington Community Schools, this type of behavior is shocking and not common.
“Last night we celebrated 500 students who graduated from Arlington High School,” she said.
“This year’s class earned over $30,600,000 in college scholarships. It was unfortunate that a couple of adults in the audience exhibited the behavior they did prior to the ceremony beginning and thus has caused a distraction from the celebration of our students’ accomplishments.”
