President Donald Trump unveiled his official budget plan on Tuesday.
Liberals quickly lost their minds after learning that Trump would be gutting several wasteful programs that they support.
His budget included massive cuts to the State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, and several other departments.
“Conservatives will love it; moderates will probably hate it,” summarized one White House official familiar with the proposal, according to Axios.
Conservative Tribune reports:
It is worth pointing out that Trump’s proposal was heavily based on three major assumptions, the first being that the economy will experience a growth rate of around 3 percent — not unheard of, but nothing that has been seen in recent years.
The other two assumptions were that the Obamacare repeal and replacement bill — the American Health Care Act — will be passed by Congress and signed into law, as will be the much ballyhooed tax reform proposals that businesses are anxiously awaiting.
Trump’s director of Office of Management and Budget, Mick Mulvaney, discussed the plan, which is known as the “Taxpayer First Budget,” saying that it was written “through the eyes of the people who were actually paying the bills.”
“It balances for the first time in at least 10 years … The previous administration completely gave up on that,” Mulvaney said of the budget proposal. “If I take money from you and I have no intention of ever paying it back, that’s not debt, that is theft.”
Finally we have a president that is willing to slash wasteful programs that provide nothing of value to the American people. It is important for the United States to fund its military, as the military is the only thing guaranteeing our freedom in the world.
