Former President Barack Obama was addicted to spying on the American people.
No one really knows why, but his paranoia resulted in his ramping the NSA up and spying on the American people in ways that will shock you.
According to a Thursday report from Circa, 1 in 20 Obama-era electronic searches conducted by the NSA were illegal.
“More than 5 percent … (of) searches seeking upstream Internet data on Americans inside the NSA’s so-called Section 702 database violated the safeguards Obama and his intelligence chiefs vowed to follow in 2011, according to one classified internal report reviewed by Circa,” the article read.
Conservative Tribune reports:
The problems were disclosed by the administration in a closed-door hearing before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court just days before Trump’s election.
The “normally supportive court” chastised Obama administration officials for what officials called an “institutional lack of candor” in not reporting the violations earlier and said the violations were a “very serious Fourth Amendment issue,” court documents revealed.
To make things worse, there had been a 300 percent increase in data searches at the NSA since the former president loosened privacy restrictions back in 2011.
Sen. Rand Paul bashed the Obama administration on Wednesday, saying that “this is an enormous story, and it will dwarf all the other stories.”
“If we can determine this to be true, this is an amazing abuse of power, and it dwarfs any of the other sort of made up stuff that we’re sort of looking into now,” Paul said.
“We shouldn’t suck up everybody’s phone calls and everybody’s internet transmission,” he added, “and the danger is, and one of the accusations of Susan Rice and others, is that they were looking at this information politically, searching opponents, and going after people in the Trump transition to try to bring them down.”
Naturally, the liberal media declined to cover this story and is still focusing on everything and anything related to Trump.
Obama’s illegal behavior must be exposed and punished. Share this story on social media and leave a comment below.
