Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee slammed the liberal media on Sunday over their constant need to whine about President Donald Trump and his defeat of their darling Hillary Clinton.
Huckabee had four simple words for whiny liberals crying about Clinton losing to Trump.
“I want to remind them: Hillary lost, Trump won,” Huckabee said during an interview on “Fox & Friends.” “You may not like it. You may not agree with his policies. But, suck it up buttercup, because this is what we will experience. He has a mandate to govern. And it’s just amazing to me that these stories continue to pour out.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
He was spot-on about Trump being given “a mandate to govern,” though the problem is that many on the left — including those in the liberal media — refuse to acknowledge this mandate.
Columns can be found at The Nation, Time magazine, Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight and a slew of other liberal websites proclaiming that the president’s inability to secure a majority of the popular vote in last year’s means he doesn’t have a mandate.
Too bad for Clinton, the next president isn’t decided by the popular vote, but rather the Electoral College.
“If Trump and Clinton (had) campaigned in every state in the hopes of getting more people out to vote for them in total, there’s no guarantee Clinton would have actually won,” the New York Observer noted following the president’s victory last year.
