Hillary Clinton has been working hard to stay in the spotlight ever since she got slaughtered by President Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel suggested on Sunday during an appearance on CNN that Clinton may run for president again in 2020.
What a nightmare that would be, but Emanuel refused to shoot down the rumors.
“If Hillary Clinton is up for another presidential run, would that be a good thing for your party?” CNN’s Dana Bash asked Emanuel.
“You know, look, you’re asking something that — we’re not even first through the midterm election. She hasn’t even declared, for me to say that…,” he stammered.
When Bash tried to press Emanuel to give a real answer, he said it was “not a good question.”
Emanuel eventually composed himself and tried to correct his original response.
“I happen to think there’s a lot of time between now and the presidential (election), and she has to decide whether that’s in her heart,” Emanuel explained.
“We have a lot of time between now and the presidential election of 2020. Hillary has a lot to offer. The core question is not whether I think she would be a good candidate. It’s whether she wants to run,” he continued.
“At the end of the day, the public’s pretty smart. And if it’s only going through the motion, they’ll pick that up,” he concluded.
We can only pray that Clinton will not run. She is one of the worst candidates in U.S. history and the American people will be better off when she disappears from the spotlight.
