A California restaurant employee is suing actor Shia LaBeouf for $5 million over claims that the actor assaulted and defamed him.
LaBeouf has been spiraling out of control for years, pulling weird publicity stunts, freaking out on camera, and often bashing President Donald Trump.
David Bernstein, a bartender and supervisor at Jerry’s Famous Deli in Los Angeles is suing LaBeouf after he verbally attacked him and called him a “f*cking racist.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
It’s hard to argue against Bernstein’s claim. The altercation was caught on video, which went viral online. In the aftermath of the incident, the bartender claimed that he suffered “significant embarrassment and ridicule” for simply doing his job.
Court documents revealed that LaBeouf and his wife Mia Goth were at a nearby bowling alley when Goth came into the bar where Bernstein works. However, the staff refused to serve her because she appeared to be intoxicated.
That’s when LaBeouf also entered Jerry’s Famous Deli and reportedly flew into a fit of rage. The actor — who also appeared drunk to the staff — demanded that they be served.
When Bernstein followed the law and declined to serve the visibly intoxicated patron, LaBeouf reportedly slammed his fist on the bar and tried to force his way into an employees-only area of the restaurant.
“Bernstein, who’s worked at the bar for 32 years, put a bottle of Grey Goose vodka on his shoulder, claiming in the lawsuit he was using it to protect himself,” stated the Daily News.
LaBeouf refused to cooperate and began yelling obscenities.
“Wake up, this mother f***** is a racist!” LaBeouf allegedly yelled.
Should we even be surprised by this anymore? LaBeouf has been a loose cannon for nearly a decade, so much so that even Hollywood is reluctant to cast him.
