Sen. Al Franken, one of the most detestable liberal senators in the U.S. Senate, believes the entire Kathy Griffin debacle will blow over.
According to Franken, the right is overreacting and has no right to be upset over the fact that Griffin joked about killing the president and holding his bloodied head.
“(E)verybody thinks that she went too far,” he told CNN host Alisyn Camerota. “I did, too. I really think saying — you know, I — Kathy is a friend and she’s a terrific comedian, but this had no business being in our public discourse.”
“Well, I think she did the right thing,” he began. “I think asking for forgiveness and acknowledging that this was — this was a horrible mistake. And, so, I think she can.”
Griffin was completely eviscerated over her original video and eventually released an apology:
President Donald Trump himself called Griffin out for releasing such a hateful and disturbing video.
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

Conservative Tribune reports:
A TMZ exclusive posted that same morning claimed via unnamed sources that the boy panicked when he saw the image while watching television, believing it to be the actual head of his father.
This woman can’t even issue a sincere apology to the world, let alone to Trump and his family, and yet Franken believes “she did the right thing.”
What’s clear is that not only does she not deserve to be a comedian, but he in turn doesn’t deserve to be a senator — certainly not with judgment this atrociously bad.
Oh, what liberals will do to try and maintain a modicum of fame. It’s sad and embarrassing.
