No one can ever question President Donald Trump and his loyalty to our brave troops and police officers.
Trump recently signed the American Law Enforcement Heroes Act and the Public Safety Officer’s Benefits Improvement Act in order to help our soldiers and police officers.
The bills were signed in the White Houses’ Diplomatic Reception Room in front of an audience of decorated police and military officers.
“As president, keeping America safe is my highest duty, and supporting law enforcement is my unwavering commitment,” Trump said prior to signing the bills. “I am very proud to sign these two great bills today.”
“We are going to be protecting them,” he stated. “They’ve been protecting us, we’re going to be helping them right now.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
The Washington Examiner reported that the two bills passed Congress last month. In light of his long-standing support of police and veterans, it came as no surprise the president signed the bills so soon after passing through Congress.
A bipartisan bill co-sponsored by Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Democrat Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, the “Officers’ Benefits” act will reduce the waiting time that family members of slain police officers must wait before receiving survivors’ benefits.
The “Heroes Act” was also a bipartisan effort, co-sponsored by Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas and Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota. It will provide funds to encourage police agencies and departments to hire military veterans.
Aside from a brief mention on CNN, there has been almost no coverage on mainstream media outlets of the president’s latest action.
How typical of liberals to avoid reporting on any story that might make Trump look good. Liberals are so bitter about Trump becoming president and they continue to do anything they can to try and take him down.
For years, former President Barack Obama failed to take care of our soldiers and police officers, but that is all set to change now.
