Saturday’s London terror attack was a tragic event that claimed the lives of many innocent people.
Khuram Butt, 27, one of the terrorists who was killed during the attack, managed to slip through the system and take part in a major terror attack.
Still, one has to wonder how it happened.
According to reports, Butt was attending Ummah Fitness, a gym that appeared to be more of a jihadist recruiting facility than an actual fitness center.
The Sun claims that Butt became close friends with the gym’s owner, Sajeel Shaahid, 41.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Shahid was accused of helping train Mohammed Siddique Khan, the mastermind the 2005 July bombings in central London, the Daily Mail reported. Shahid was a also member of Anjem Choudary’s al-Muhajiroun network, which was banned from the United Kingdom.
The Sunday Times reported that Butt tried to radicalize young men at the gym.
A senior researcher in Islamic Studies at the Quilliam Foundation Dr Usama Hasan told the Mail that he even reported Butt to the police and British intelligence last summer.
Sadly, authorities didn’t take the Butt theat seriously. This is odd considering he took part in an Islamic State group protest at Regent’s Park in London for a 2016 documentary named, “The Jihadists Next Door.”
Authorities classified him as “low priority,” meaning that they didn’t believe he was a significant threat.
Ummah Fitness released the following statement after the attack:
“We at UFC gym are shocked and saddened by the events that occurred at London Bridge and Borough on Saturday night. There is never any justification for indiscriminately killing civilians.”
It is time we start investigating more Muslim businesses. It is pretty obvious that they are planning to take us down from within our own countries. We must act now.
