Many Americans are still waiting for President Donald Trump to start building the border wall.
While Trump remains committed to building it, Democrats and rebellious Republicans continue to defy him.
According to reports, Trump told GOP leaders on Tuesday that the electricity generated by placing solar panels on the border wall could offset the costs of building it.
“The panels would provide electricity for lighting, sensors and patrol stations along the wall,” AP reported. “Sales of electricity to utilities could cover the cost of construction in 20 years or less, according to the company. Power could also be sold to Mexico.”

Conservative Tribune reports:
Of course, nothing’s been finalized on the wall yet, and the political process of getting it built is still a struggle that needs to met, and there are other things on Congress’ plate. After all, Axios notes that the major issue of discussion during the White House meeting was health care, which is the major issue of the day.
However, the Trump administration apparently still has the wall on the front burner, and that’s a good thing for his supporters. The ultimate irony is that it could end up being a good source of renewable energy.
No matter what happens, we need this wall as soon as possible and we need to make sure that the American taxpayers aren’t the ones footing the bill for all of Mexico’s bad hombres.
