President Donald Trump delivered a passionate speech in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Wednesday.
During that speech, Trump focused on the need to create jobs and his $1 trillion infrastructure package.
But one of the best parts of the speech was when he called up victims of ObamaCare.
“Obamacare is in a total death spiral, and the problems will only get worse if Congress fails to act,” Trump said. “Obamacare is dead. I’ve been saying it for a long time.”
One of the victims, Raya and Michael Whalen, said they had to stop offering health insurance to their 15 employees because ObamaCare drove the costs up too high.
“Our experience with Obamacare has been a pretty negative one, from having to change our doctors to losing employees because we could no longer afford insurance,” Whalen told the Columbus Dispatch.
Dan Withrow of Louisville, Kentucky, said he lost options at his job and had to pay 150 percent more in premiums because of ObamaCare.
“It’s been horrible for small business,” Withrow said.
Trump emphasized with his supporters during the speech.
“Across America, premiums are skyrocketing, insurers are fleeing, and the American people are paying much more for much worse coverage,” the president said. “The coverage is horrendous. It’s horrendous.”
“The Democrats are destroying health care in this country. We have had no help. We will get no votes no matter what we do. If we gave you the greatest plan in the history of the world, you would have no Democratic vote. It’s all going to be Republicans or bust.”
Thank God we have Trump leading us. He is committed to repealing ObamaCare and saving many Americans thousands of dollars per year in premiums.
