Kellyanne Conway shut the liberal media down on Monday after they spent much of the weekend making up lies about her speaking badly about her fellow White House staffers.
It all started when a Twitter account called “KellyanneLeaks” was created to try and spread lies about her.
Politico reported that Conway mocked White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus for “urging White House aides to stop leaking” and questioned what Marc Short, the White House legislative director, did in a given day.
Conway dismissed these rumors, saying they are nothing but the liberal media trying to create a story out of nothing.
“I never divulge what the president tells me,” she said. “I never would. The president had said publicly that we’ll all find out. We have to wait and see if there are tapes. I repeated that and then converted to no comment.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
She added that Short is one of her best friends in the West Wing, which White House press secretary Sean Spicer reportedly confirmed in his own statement.
He specifically explained that Conway “is very close to Short,” that she had been mocking “reporters for palace intrigue stories” when she spoke about Preibus and that “she was simply explaining what the lawyers said the White House can say” when she mentioned Trump’s request, according to Politico.
Conway and Spicer’s statements suggest what many on the right had suspected from the moment this “scandal” broke out — that it’s another nothing burger being used to distract Americans from the real scandals, e.g., former Attorney General Loretta Lynch having attempted to interfere with the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton, for starters.
The liberal media needs to stop fabricating stories like this. It is shameful and shows how little integrity they have. If you want to bash the Trump administration, save it for real stories, not fake ones like this.
