Megyn Kelly is learning a tough lesson over at NBC about what happens when you betray your most loyal supporters.
Kelly left Fox News to join NBC, but in the process, she alienated many of her most loyal supporters.
According to reports, Kelly’s “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” is failing to attract viewers and even had a lower rating than reruns of ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
According to TV By The Numbers, Kelly’s show came in third behind CBS’ “60 Minutes,” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” which were both garnered a 0.8 rating in the target adult 18-49 demographic.
Kelly’s show only had a 0.6 rating in the same demographic at the 7 p.m. time slot.
According to the ratings site, Kelly’s program had a total viewership of 3.61 million, which still was beaten by the 3.94 million viewers who tuned in to watch the rerun of the Alfonso Ribeiro hosted “Home Videos.” “60 Minutes,” however, did a lot better in terms of viewership, topping the list with 7.88 million.
That’s a pretty sad showing by Kelly, who in her first episode was able to hit a 0.8 rating and bring in 6.1 million viewers, as reported by the U.K. Daily Mail. The second episode saw a drastic drop in total viewership.
Critics believe those numbers will continue to decline, especially given the fact that Kelly is receiving a lot of flack for her recent interview with InfoWars founder Alex Jones.
In contrast, Tucker Carlson has been dominating at Fox News ever since he took over Kelly’s old time slot.
Maybe Kelly should have thought twice before bailing on Fox News.
