President Donald Trump deeply cares about the United States and keeping our citizens safe from terrorism.
When he proposed a temporary travel ban on various Muslim countries, liberals attacked him, calling him racist.
However, since Trump proposed his travel ban, immigration from those dangerous countries has declined, showing that his policy is working.
“Even though President Donald Trump’s travel ban has run afoul of the courts, the number of visas issued to people from six majority-Muslim countries targeted by the executive order appears to be slowing down dramatically,” stated Roll Call.
“There’s a significant deterrent effect, whether from the travel ban or the administration’s rhetoric,” Greg Chen, an immigration expert with American Immigration Lawyers Association, told Roll Call.
Conservative Tribune reports:
The so-called “travel ban” focuses on six countries with unstable governments and past links to Islamic terrorism. They are Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
In the year before Trump took office, an average of 4,454 visas per month were issued for travelers from those six countries. This past April, however, only 2,013 such visas were issued.
The “Trump Effect” has had an even more dramatic impact on Syrian refugees, specifically.
“Admissions of Syrian refugees, who are considered by the international community to be especially at risk, have particularly dwindled. Of the 6,225 Syrian refugees to arrive in the U.S. since Oct. 1, only 1,341 have come during Trump’s presidency,” reported Roll Call.
In an age where ISIS is constantly attacking Western cities using the most cowardly methods possible, it is essential that we defend our country by any means possible. The enemy isn’t playing fair and they are purposely attacking our most vulnerable.
