A selfless Hooters’ waitress recently demonstrated that there are still kind people left in the world.
While most people go to Hooters to see the girls, Don Thomas, a Hooters regular in Roswell, Georgia, was shocked when his waitress, Mariana Villarreal, offered to donate him one of her kidneys.
“Mariana had only been here a short time,” Thomas said according to Right Wing News. “I just barely knew her when she made the offer.”
Mariana learned that Thomas had lost both of his kidneys and that he was dependent on dialysis to survive.
“I said, ‘Well I have two kidneys, do you want one of mine?’” she said.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Right Wing News reports that Vilarreal’s grandmother had passed recently from kidney failure, almost certainly influencing her granddaughter’s decision to step up for this man.
“I wasn’t able to do anything for my grandma,” Villarreal said.
“If (Don) can live two more years, happy as he’s ever been, that’s fine with me. That’s not up to me. I did my part, now it’s God’s turn to keep him alive.”
Villarreal demonstrated a level of kindness that rarely exists today. Thomas should consider himself lucky that Villarreal is such a kindhearted and selfless person.
