The liberal media has been working overtime to try and make the GOP look bad for being the victims of the horrific shooting in Alexandria, Virginia.
On Thursday, CBS anchor Scott Pelley told his viewers that House Republicans deserved what happened to them.
“It’s time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress Wednesday was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
Pelley, who officially ended his tenure as the network’s “Evening News” host the next evening, suggested that the “violent rhetoric” of some political leaders and commentators has led to violent behavior.
He then cited several examples, which showed that the liberal anchor primarily viewed conservatives, and of course, President Donald Trump, as the root cause of this problem.
“In December of last year, a man with an assault rifle stormed into a Washington-area pizzeria to free child sex slaves whom Hillary Clinton was holding there—or at least, that’s what political blog sites had said. He fired into a locked door, to discover no children in chains,” Pelley said.
He also pointed to a February tweet by the president, which claimed that the news media were the “enemy of the American people.” Trump was later asked whether he worried that the language he chose would “incite violence,” to which he responded, “No, that doesn’t worry me.”
“As children, we’re taught ‘words will never hurt me,’ but when you think about it, violence almost always begins with words,” Pelley said. “In Twitter world, we’ve come to believe that our first thought is our best thought.”
“To some degree,” Rep. Steve Scalise is responsible, along with his party and Trump, for nearly dying after a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter shot him because “words hurt.” Or, as Pelley was likely suggesting, “Scalise and his Republican colleagues deserved what they got.”
Does the liberal media have no shame? Is it so hard for them to feel sorry for a man that just got shot, regardless of what political party he is a member of. When someone gets injured, put politics aside and focus on wishing them well. Shame on the liberal media for the way they have acted in the aftermath of this latest tragic shooting.
