CNN is known for spreading “fake news,” but a recent story was so bad that even they busted themselves for spreading a fake story.
The news agency recently published a story about President Donald Trump and Russia that relied on anonymous sources to link Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci to Russia.
However, it was quickly revealed that Scaramucci was innocent and that the CNN story was completely fake.
In response, CNN’s executive editor, Rich Barbieri, sent an email to his employees explaining the new policies for writing about stories involving Trump and Russia.

“No one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and (CNN Vice President) Jason (Farkas),” the email stated. “This applies to social, video, editorial, and MoneyStream. No exceptions. I will lay out a workflow Monday.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
CNN’s reaction to the story may go beyond this simple change in publishing criteria. BuzzFeed reported that an “unnamed source” claimed that action would be taken against those who actually wrote the false story, stating that it was a “massive, massive f*** up and people will be disciplined.”
It’s about time CNN started trying to clean up their act. For months the network has thrown legitimate reporting to the wayside, constantly relying on “anonymous” sources to hurl bogus charges at the Trump administration in an attempt to derail it.
Finally. CNN has been spreading fake news for too long. It is about time that they admit they are wrong and try to make up for misleading the American people.
