Eric Trump has been facing the wrath of the left after he bragged about his father, President Donald Trump during an interview on Sunday.
In that interview, Trump suggested that his father has already accomplished more than any other president.
“He said, ‘I’m going to improve the economy, I’m going to create jobs for this country, we’re going to stop getting ripped off as a nation, I’m going to take care of our veterans, I’m going to take care of health care, I’m going to reduce taxes,’” Eric insisted to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
“He’s doing everything that he says,” he added. “He’s been in office for 150-something days and I think that he’s accomplished more than any president, arguably in history, has over that same period of time.”
See the interview below:
Conservative Tribune reports:
He was both right and wrong. The president has indeed secured many victories during his time in office thus far, including a record high Consumer Comfort Index, record high stock indexes and a rollback of numerous regulations.
He’s also nominated a conservative Supreme Court justice, pulled America out of the Paris Accord, undone former President Barack Obama’s deal with Cuba and signed the “Buy American, Hire American” executive order, which UPI reported is “aimed at enforcing domestic worker rules and ending ‘abuses’ of the U.S. H-1B work visa program.”
While all these accomplishments are impressive and deserve praise, it must be kept in mind that tax reform, the construction of a border wall and the repeal/replace of Obamacare, in particular, still remain unaccomplished, and it remains unclear whether the first two promises will be fulfilled within the year.
If Trump could somehow, someway accomplish all three goals by the end of the year, then it probably would be true that he had “accomplished more than any president, arguably in history, has over that same period of time.”
