legendary talk show host and comedian Jay Leno recently defended President Donald Trump by calling out all of the untalented comedians relying on anti-Trump jokes to stay relevant.
Leno made it clear that he is fed up of all of the anti-Trump jokes.
“I enjoy bringing people together,” he said. “If (mocking the president) is a constant thing on a nightly basis, eventually you’re all doing the same joke.”

Conservative Tribune reports:
Leno made similar comments on Monday to The Hollywood Reporter. While he’s not a big fan of the president, he stated that repeating the same jokes that mock the president has a negative effect on viewers.
“I don’t like Trump,” he said. “But the constant negative Trump stuff on a nightly basis? I think it has a debilitating effect on people.”
Eventually, Leno said, viewers will be reluctant to tune in.
“People are just, ‘Oh, gosh, I don’t wanna watch TV anymore,’” Leno remarked. “This is just the same thing every night.”
Current “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon follows Leno’s approach and also prefers to limit the amount of Trump jokes on his show.
“There’s only so many bits you can do,” he said. “I’m happy that only 50 percent of my monologue is about Trump.”
