President Donald Trump never shied away from the fact that he wanted to deport illegal immigrants and fix our broken immigration system.
Jorge Ramirez, a man that is facing deportation, hasn’t let his potential deportation shake his support for Trump.
In a surprise statement, Ramirez made it clear that he still supports Trump, despite his upcoming deportation.
“Everything that he’s said against immigrants — it’s not that I’m in favor, but bad people don’t belong here,” Ramirez told the Tribune. “In order to make America great, you have to have people contributing to this country.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
Though Ramirez, who considers himself a Republican, didn’t vote because he is not a citizen, he encouraged his daughter to vote from Trump in the 2016 election.
When it comes to his own immigration status, Ramirez didn’t deny that he was in the United States illegally, but wondered why he was being detained when the president said his priority would be criminals.
“Trump said, ‘Let’s keep all the good people here and all the bad people out,’” he stated. “That’s great, but I’m here.”
“If I’m here, anybody can be here. I’m not saying I’m the best person in the world, but I’ve tried to live a good life,” he added.
