Former President Barack Obama never made an effort to try and connect with his supporters and he never tried to make himself appear human.
That is where President Donald Trump is different. On Monday night, Trump tweeted about the tragic case of Charlie Gard, the sick infant that was recently sentenced to death by the United Kingdom’s highest court.
In Trump’s tweet, he made it clear that the United States would be “delighted” to help Gard overcome his deadly disease.
“If we can help little (Charlie Gard), as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so,” the president tweeted.

Conservative Tribune reports:
Gard was born in August 2016 with a rare inherited disease called “infantile onset encephalomyopathy mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome,” also known as MDS or MDDS, according to Heavy.
Although he was scheduled to be taken off of life support on June 30, doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London where Gard was being treated decided to extend the life-sustaining care to allow parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, to spend more time with their son.
However, the hospital has refused to release the baby into Gard and Yates’ care so that they can travel to the U.S. for experimental treatment.
“After endlessly researching and speaking to (doctors) all over the world we found hope in a medication that may help him and a (doctor) in America has accepted him in his hospital,” Yates explained on a GoFundMe site set up for her son.
Sadly, the treatment was unavailable in the U.K. and the hospital believed it was “not in the child’s best interests” to travel to the U.S. to receive it. They wanted to cut off his ventilator and let him die.
The parents fought the hospitals decision and the case was escalated to the European Court of Human Rights, who shot down their appeal and ruled in favor of the hospital.
However, now that Trump has stepped in, little Charlie may have a chance.
Love or hate Trump, he is one of the most human presidents we have had in a long time and he truly cares about people.
