House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is no stranger to saying crazy things.
As a result, the old-guard of the Democratic Party has come under fire for failing to win elections.
However, during a June 26 appearance on “CBS This Morning,” she admitted that she was contemplating retiring had Hillary Clinton won, but decided to stay around a little longer because Donald Trump won.
“If Hillary Clinton had won, I might have gone home,” Pelosi stated. “But with Donald Trump in the White House, with a Republican majority in both houses — no way.”
“The fact is this, I’ve led in ’05 and ’06 to take us to the majority — became speaker of the House.”
“President Obama became president, he was our spokesperson for eight years, we just lost the election,” she continued. “We could write a message, but the fact is that we need our members to write the message and they know full fell we’re working with the Senate to go forward.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
It is no surprise that we here at Conservative Tribune aren’t the biggest fans of Nancy Pelosi’s brand of coastal elite liberalism, but if the trade-off to get rid of her would have required the electoral victory of failed Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, then we wholeheartedly welcome Pelosi back to Washington for yet another term.
Besides, when the opponents continue to lose election after election, year after year, and makes no major changes to their leadership in the meantime, why would we stop them from repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot?
Here’s looking at at least one more go-round of turning many local elections into a national affair by linking the Democrat candidates to the increasingly toxic leadership of losers at the head of their party.
We can only dream that Pelosi will retire, but in a way, her horrible leadership is helping the Republican Party secure election victories.
