Comedian Kathy Griffin thought she was being hilarious when she mock-beheaded President Donald Trump.
According to reports, Griffin recently sat down for a one hour long interview with the Secret Service.
“We’re going to fully cooperate with the Secret Service in their investigation,” Dmitry Gorin, a criminal lawyer for Griffin, said according to The Times.
“News: Kathy Griffin has been interviewed by the Secret Service, in-person, for over an hour….investigation still not closed,” tweeted reporter Yashar Ali.

Gorin argued that Griffin shouldn’t even be under investigation.
“She basically exercised her First Amendment rights to tell a joke,” he said. “When you look at everything in the media, all the times entertainers make videos or express themselves in other ways, you’ve never seen an entertainer, let alone a comedian, be subject to a criminal investigation.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
That’s not completely true, The Times reported. In 2012, the Secret Service confronted rocker Ted Nugent after he said, “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November,” referencing the Obama administration.
All threats against the president are investigated, and Griffin is foolish if she thinks she can use her celebrity status as a license to say and do anything she pleases.
In her staged apology, she claimed that Trump and his family “broke” her and ruined her career by directing threats against her.
