A 3-month-old puppy was recently found in a restroom at the McCarran Airport in Las Vegas.
When the dog was found, its rescuers were shocked when they read a note that was attached to the pup.
The small Chihuahua pup was left injured in the bathroom and the owner decided to abandon it to try and escape ownership.
“Hi! I’m Chewy!” the note read, as KVVU TV reported. “My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has no other option.”
“My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He (probably) needs a vet. I love Chewy so much please love and take care of him.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
Chewy was given over to Connie and Millie’s Dog Rescue in Las Vegas, and he seems to be doing just fine.
In fact, he has received so many adoption requests that the rescue had to stop accepting applications.
The rescue’s suggested option for those who won’t get to take this adorable puppy home? Go save an animal from a local shelter.
Thank God Chewy is going to be alright. No matter how hard life is, never take your anger out on your pets.
